He was a Senior Lecturer at IPGME & R, where he taught MD students in the field of General Medicine. He also instructed students from the School of Nursing and the School of Physical Medicine at IPGME & R. Throughout his career, he published three original research papers in esteemed Indian journals. Additionally, he authored educational books in Bengali, aimed at educating patients, with a total of twelve such books written. He also wrote fourteen spiritual books.
During the KARGIL WAR (1999), he spent a commendable 19 days on the front lines, contributing to the medical efforts in the war zone. Furthermore, he organized and facilitated multiple eye operation camps in Ladakh, where a total of 400 cataract surgeries were performed, bringing sight to those in need.

He began his illustrious career on January 26, 1970,
as a first-class gazetted officer M.O.I/C at Garubathan PHC located in a hilly jungle in Darjeeling.
He later served at Writers Building, R. G. Kar Medical College & Hospital,
Calcutta M.C. Hospital, and S. S. K. M. Hospital.......
